Alice Ruth (Young) Durham

Rose – Alice Ruth (Young) Durham, 79 entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at her home with her family by her side.

     Family will greet friends NOTE DATE Saturday, Sept. 17, from 9 a.m.to 10:30 a.m. at the Maranatha Baptist Church, 8721 Travell Knapps Corner Rd, Lyons. A Funeral Service will follow calling at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in York Settlement Cemetery.

     Alice was born the daughter of the late Alvin and Ruth (Phelps) Young on Sunday, November 1, 1936 in Gloversville, NY. She was a graduate of North Rose High School class of 1955. Alice helped out on the family farm she and her husband owned. She enjoyed babysitting, baking and most of all spending time with her family. Alice was a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church.

     Alice will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years and caregiver Lloyd Durham; children Kris (Beth) Durham, Lori (Jeff) LeCuyer and Michael (Michelle) Durham; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; brothers Robert (Janet) Young, William (Ellen) Young and Richard (Lois) Young; sisters Doris Wilson, Mary Humbert and Jane (Donald) Humbert; many nieces, nephews and friends from her church.
