Lyons formerly of Marion -  Shirley Ann (DeWispelaere) Adriaansen, 79 entered eternal rest in her sleep on Sunday, February 12, 2017 in Largo, Florida.

     Family will greet friends Thursday (Feb. 16) from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St, Newark. A Funeral Service will be Friday morning (Feb. 17) at 11 a.m. at the Second Reformed Church of Marion. Private burial in Marion Cemetery.

     Shirley was born the daughter of the later John and Lina (Havert) DeWispelaere on Monday, September 20, 1937 in Newark, NY. She graduated from Newark High School, class of 1954. Shirley worked in the business office at the Newark Developmental Center retiring in 1995. She was a member of the Second Reformed Church of Marion and was a life time member of Newark Eastern Star, and past member of the Newark Grange and the Red Hats Society. Golfing, reading, dancing and traveling were a few of her favorite activities.

     Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her sons Kevin (Michelle) and Todd (Julie) Adriaansen; daughter Michele (Dan) Napoleon; five grandchildren Wayne, Krystal, Theodore, Jaimie and Desirae; great granddaughter Luella; brothers Roger and Ronald DeWispelaere; sisters Dorothy DeMay, twin Sharon East and Arlene (Larry) Aldrich; domestic partner Gary Smith; many nieces and nephews.

     Shirley was predeceased by her husband Roderick Adriaansen in 1992, brother Richard in 1973 and father and mother-in-law Raymond and Sarah Adriaansen.
