Mrs. Sandra (Sandy) Fields –Williamson NY formerly of Auburn NY. Passed at home on Thursday, August 25, 2016 surrounded by loved ones after a long fight with Alzheimer’s.

     Sandra was born February, 8, 1947 in Seneca Falls NY. Her parents Howard Van Horn passed in Oct of 1993 and her mother Alice Van Horn passed in Oct of 1994. Sandy lived most of her life in Auburn NY. She is survived by her daughter Roxanne Brown; son-in-Law Owen Brown; grandchildren, Adam Howe – Williamson NY, Steven Clark - VA, Shane Wooledge – Cape Vincent, NY, and Alyssa Wooledge, Macedon NY; several great grandchildren; two sisters Shelly Cruiz of Weedsport NY, and Holly Brown- North Carolina many nieces and nephews. Sandy had many others that called her “Mom or Aunt Sandy” that will ensure her legacy lives on.

     “Sandy” enjoyed her life with Community Caring in Auburn NY, where she volunteered for many years. As well as her time at the VFW 1975 Auburn NY, and VFW 11071 Fleming NY as the Auxiliary president. She was always the kind of person to help another out if she could. She enjoyed her friends and playing cards. Sandy tried to make a difference in everyone’s life she touched.

      At “Sandy’s” request her body has been donated to the University of Rochester to hopefully help find a cure for the disease that took her mind away, and so others can benefit from her donation. A “Celebration of life” will be held at VFW POST 1975 44 E. Genesee St. Auburn NY Sunday August 28th at 3 pm.
