Newark – Morris E. Waterstraw Jr., 78 entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at his home at Martins Mobile Park, after a brief illness.

     Family will greet friends and family Thursday (Oct. 20) from 5 to 7 p.m. Where a Funeral Service will be held at 7 p.m. at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St, Newark. A Graveside Service will be Friday (Oct. 21) at 11 a.m. in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canandaigua, NY.

     Mr. Waterstraw was born the son of the late Morris E. Waterstraw Sr. and Edna Powell on Wednesday, July 13, 1938 in Canandaigua, NY. Morris worked for 20 years at the Newark SR. High Schools retiring in 2000. Morris had many interest. He was a motorcyclist, for many years. He was a CB’er known as “Cherokey”. He was also a help to everyone in the mobile home park doing odd jobs and lawn care.

 After retirement, Mr. Waterstraw became known within his neighborhood for helping others with lawn care and repairs. He loved his motorcycle and fishing. For many years Mr. Waterstraw was a CB radio operator.

     Mr. Waterstraw will be remembered by his daughters Marsha (Rob) Edens; Robin (David) Elwin, Sheryl (Robin) DeParde and Teresa (Timothy) Doucet; grandsons Chad and Brad; granddaughters Mandy and Danielle; great granddaughter Elise; his wife of 49 years Barbara; daughters of California, Sarah Eden and Amanda (Adam) Obert; many nieces and nephews.

     Morris was predeceased by his father Morris E. Waterstraw Sr., loving step mom Edith Waterstraw and sister Grace Waterstraw.
