Lyons/Marion – On March 16, 2017 Evelyn Anna (Sklenka) DeMuth joined her husband Theodore Nathan DeMuth when she passed softly from the earth in her sleep. They shared a love and their lives for 64 years before he had to leave, and we know they are both happy again now that they are together.

In her 93 years Evelyn was a remarkable woman, wife and mother who served the war effort in WWII, working stateside in a hospital while Ted served overseas. Together they raised two daughters, teaching them to love, help and respect others and the world we live in. She clothed them in hand sewn clothing, and wrapped them in love with sweaters and afghans she knitted or crocheted. She served her church as a deacon and a nursery school teacher, always ready to lend a helping hand. She loved gathering people together in her home and feeding them wonderful meals and desserts, it was her delight. She was loyal and was lucky to have life-long bonds with her friends and family.

Evelyn and Ted shared many joys together, camping their way across the USA and Canada. Everywhere else they saw from a cruise ship sailing to Hawaii, Alaska, the Caribbean, down the Amazon and through the Panama Canal. They were each other's best friend, and soul mate and are now skate dancing (that's how they met) in Heaven. She lives on through her daughters Suzanne DeMuth and Donna DeMuth Johnson (Joe), and her grandchildren Zachary Andrew DeMuth Capobianco, Alyssa DeMuth Johnson, Evan Nathan DeMuth Capobianco and Emma Lyn Backus (Johnson) (Nathan)

We will celebrate her life in a memorial on her birthday, March 26, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 pm at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St, Newark
