Newark - William "Bill" Crannell, 73, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025.
Bill, affectionately known as "Bubba," was born on Saturday, October 20, 1951, in Syracuse, NY, the beloved son of the late Gertrude Hogan. Bubba brought joy to everyone who knew him. He had a special fondness for his stuffed Piglet toy and Sock Monkey, and he charmed everyone he met with his warm personality-often blowing kisses to grab a little extra attention. One of his greatest loves was his coffee, which always brought a smile to his face.
He will be deeply missed by his DDSO family and all whose lives he touched with his light-hearted spirit and loving heart.
Bill will be remembered by his siblings, Max (Diane) Crannell, Susan (Edward) Gryska, and Peter R. (Karen Wilmarth) Crannell; many nieces and nephews; and his peers and staff at the Finger Lakes DDSO.
The family would like to thank everyone at Finger Lakes DDSO for all the loving care shown to Bill.
Bill was predeceased by his mother, Gertrude H. Crannell, and his siblings, Thomas M. Crannell and Madaline L. Crannell.
In honor of Bill's wishes all services will remain private. Burial will be in My Calvary Cemetery, Oneonta, NY.
