William E. Werth
Rochester - William E. Werth, 83, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Bill was born the son of the late Lynn and Gladys (Horton) Werth on Thursday, July 24, 1941, in Cohocton, NY. He grew up in the Cohocton area and graduated from Wayland High School. Bill went on to attend Bob Jones University, where he earned his bachelor's degree, and later received his master's degree from SUNY Geneseo.
He began his career as a teacher, and after fifteen years, he transitioned to a new path-starting his own painting business, which he ran for thirty years until his retirement.
Bill found joy in yard work, gardening, and refinishing furniture. He also loved building and flying remote control airplanes. Always up for an adventure, he treasured outings with his children and especially enjoyed boat rides with his wife. Above all, Bill cherished the time he spent with his family.
He will be remembered by his wife of sixty years, Judythe Werth; his children, Heather (Steve) Mouw, Heidi (Russell) Leberman, and Christopher (Kimberly) Werth; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; his sisters, Ilean Schultheiss and Linda Scura; and many nieces and nephews.
Please join the family at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Spencerport Assembly of God, 3940 Canal Road, Spencerport, NY 14559 for Bill's memorial Service.
