Timothy Preston Rugenstein

Hamlin - Timothy P. Rugenstein, 52, passed away suddenly on Monday, January 18, 2021, at his home.

Tim is predeceased by his father, George of Newark.

Tim is survived by his loving wife, Shari A. Rugenstein, daughters Elaina Rugenstein of Geneva, Jeralyn Rugenstein of Hamlin, Georgia Rugenstein of Rochester; step-son Demitri DiProsperio of Hamlin; mother, Linda Rugenstein of Newark; brother, Bryan Rugenstein of Seneca Falls; sisters Sherri (Chris Crawford) Terrace Rugenstein and Katie (Dan Crosby) Rugenstein of Clyde; father-in-law, Vincent James (MaryBeth) DiProspero; mother-in-law, Patricia Imburgia; brother-in-law, Vincent (Tracy) DiProspero Jr.; grandchildren Laila, Michael, Preston, Maximilian, Jade, Brayden, Ja`Vier and Milleah; many cousins, nieces, nephews and devoted friends.

Tim loved his family unconditionally. He was a cherished son, brother, father, uncle, cousin, and husband. He took these roles seriously, spending time with his eight grandchildren warmed his heart. Tim was a hero to his children and grandchildren. He loved his country and was very proud to have served in the US Army, in Korea and stationed in Hawaii, as a young adult where he formed lifelong friendships with his brothers in arms. Tim was a hard worker holding many IT positions. Eventually, he got his dream job of selling Cadillacs.

Accepting his Lord as his personal savior changed his life in the best of ways, including meeting his wife. He loved his Lord Jesus and has gone to his eternal home in Heaven. Tim was known for his wondrous sense of humor and absolutely infectious laugh, which would capture an entire room. He always proclaimed things as “Excellent!” Tim will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to be touched by him.

Tim's memorial service will be at 3 p.m. on Friday (Jan. 22) at Maranatha Baptist Church, 8721 Travell Knapps Corner Road, Lyons, NY 14489.
