Newark - Thomas A. Caralla Jr., 59, passed away unexpectedly at his home late Sunday evening on April 17, 2022.

The family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St, Newark.

Thomas was born on Monday, July 16, 1962, in Newark, NY. Tom found pleasure in all of his projects. Tom was dedicated to developing his property and reaching his real estate goals. Tom was an avid musician and a mean guitar player. He was happiest when recording his music and going to live shows. He enjoyed sprint car racing, fishing, and spending time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren.

Tom is survived by his son, Tom (Amanda) Caralla III; grandchildren Kaleb and Mya Caralla; parents, Merle and Elizabeth Nye, siblings, Scott (Sheila) Caralla and Ed Caralla; nephew, Nathan; nieces Courtney and Nichole; and his best friend Tom Dziekan.

Thomas was predeceased by his father, Thomas Caralla, Sr.
