Stephen Cooper LeRoy
Clifton Springs - Stephen Cooper LeRoy, 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 8, 2024.
Stephen was the son of the late Franzle and Thelma (O'Tier) LeRoy, who lived in Port Gibson, NY. For 32 years, Steve served as Chief of Police for the Clifton Springs Police Department, where he was dedicated to guiding the youth and protecting the village's residents. Steve was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend, role model, and mentor. He enjoyed the outdoors, trap shooting, hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
Stephen will be remembered by his cherished bride of 59 years, Beverly, and his children Kathleen (Brian) Russo, David (Ellen) LeRoy, and John (Cynthia) LeRoy.. His 5 grandchildren; Hunter, James, Rocky, Jason, and Courtney will miss the fun they had together and learning from their grandfather. Stephen is survived by his sister Jean Blaisdell and several nieces and nephews.
All are welcome to join the family at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday October 20, 2024, at the Port Gibson Cemetery on Canandaigua Street for a memorial service.
