Newark - Shirley P. Martin, 84, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021, after a brief illness.

The family will greet friends from noon to 5 p.m. on Nov. 7, 2021, at the Newark American Legion, 200 East Union St., Newark, NY 14513 for Shirley's celebration of life.

Shirley was born the daughter of the late Lloyd and Edith (Monroe) Pembroke on Sunday, October 4, 1936, in Walworth, NY. Shirley was a loving mother and grandmother, devoted to dairy farm life. Gerald and Shirley enjoyed traveling on their Harley Davidson motorcycle, winters in Largo, Florida, playing cards, and socializing with friends.

Shirley will be remembered by her children Steve (Marcia), Daryl (Sue), Randy (Jim), Donna, and Kim Martin; grandchildren Julie, Brandon, Megan, Mindy, and Sammy Jo; six great-grandchildren; special friends Gary Smith and Jodi Rotach.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Martin; son, Dale Martin; siblings Eugene Pembroke and Ruth Galusha.
