Sherwood Towers Obituary
Hilton - Sherwood R. Towers, 86, passed away suddenly after a fall at home on Wednesday, August 12, 2020.
Predeceased by wife Terry (Donovan) Towers. Survived by children: Amy, Kate, and Richard; younger brother Lane Towers; extended family and a large circle of dear friends.
Loving husband, father and devoted disciple of Jesus Christ. Happiest sharing the Gospel, serving at Gates and Spencerport Wesleyan Churches, “Vacationing with a Purpose” at Chambers Camp and tending his garden.
A 1952 graduate of Hilton High School. He was a proud veteran of the Korean War, 1960 Alumnus of Cornell University’s College of Agriculture, and long-time employee of Rochester Products (GM).
Calling hours will be held from 5 - 7 p.m. on Friday, (AUG 21) at Farrell - Ryan Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Road, Rochester, NY 14612. A service of celebration will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday (AUG 22) at Spencerport Wesleyan Church, 2653 Nichols Street, Spencerport, NY 14559, with overflow seating available at CityHope Wesleyan Church, 2070 Long Pond Road, Rochester, NY 14606. As seating is limited, please RSVP at www.spenwes.org.
You are encouraged to attend the service of celebration virtually via www.nlwfhlive.com. Private interment at Parma Union Cemetery.
