Newark - Robert John Hobart, 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Penfield Place Nursing Home.

Robert was born the son of the late Glenn and Gladys (Kurtz) Hobart on Saturday, August 1, 1942, in Clifton Springs, NY. Bob was a proud member of the Army Reserves and worked for Garlock, eventually retiring from Parker Hannifin. Bob loved camping, fishing, woodworking, watching trains, and spending time with his grandchildren and family. He also was not opposed to a delicious cheeseburger or a yummy Werther's. Bob was a patient, kind, and caring man. He was always very humble and was concerned about thanking the staff at Penfield Place until the end.
Bob is survived by his children Kerry Ann (Jeremy) McBride, Christopher (Heather) Hobart and Kyle (Jessica) Hobart; grandchildren Molly Ryan and Reed Michael McBride, Loretta Rose, Madelyn Marie and Emily Grace Hobart, and Alexis Grace Hobart; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Robert was predeceased by wife, Kathleen Mary Hobart in 2020.
