Raphael (Fossillo) Walker

Raphael Walker
June 25, 1939 - February 25, 2023

Born in Newburyport, Massachusetts; but was a resident of Lyons, NY for over 40 years. She passed away from complications of pulmonary hypertension while visiting her daughter in Las Vegas. She is survived by her daughter, Meredith Sposato; her granddaughter, Ashley and son-in-law, Paul Sposato.

Raphael worked for IEC Electronics for over 30 years. She found her coworkers to be like a second family to her. Raphael was a long-time member of the local Moose Lodge along with her husband, Charles Walker, who has since deceased. She dedicated many hours to becoming Senior Regent and was presented with the highest degrees; her "Red Robe". She truly enjoyed being involved in all aspects involved with the Moose Lodge.

Raphael was of Italian descent. She loved to cook and did not know how to cook in small proportions. She would distribute food to all of her neighbors whom she loved dearly and would keep up on to make sure everyone was OK. She would love to text all her friends every morning just to say hello, then every night to say goodnight. She was an animal lover, especially when it came to her cats. PeeWee, her last cat, truly stole her heart.

During football season you could always find her rooting for her beloved Buffalo Bill's and swearing at the TV when they would mess up a play.

Raphael Walker loving mother, beloved grandmother and respected mother-in-law, you are gone, but never forgotten you are forever in our hearts. We love and miss you!

Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, 124 W Miller St, Newark, NY 14513, on Saturday, July 15, 2023, where a service will begin at 12pm.

Celebration of Life Luncheon Honoring Raphael Walker will be held at the Moose Lodge, 3808 Route 31, Palmyra 14522, on Sunday, July 16, 2023 , beginning at 2 pm, given by the Women of the Moose.

Burial will be at Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 6632 NY-96 A, Romulus, NY 14541, on Monday, July 17, 2023 , at 12 p.m. All are welcome to join us!
