Newark - Paul R. Moens, 74, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Strong Memorial Hospital.

The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St, Newark, NY. Paul's graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November, 4, 2023, at Newark Cemetery, North Main Street, Newark, NY.

Paul was born the son of the late Raymond and Eunice (Wandersee) Moens on Thursday, November 18, 1948, in Newark, New York, and completed his high school education at Newark High School class of 1966. Following graduation, he pursued his studies at FLCC. Paul dedicated over forty-eight years to his career as a tax professional. In addition to this, he embarked on various other professional endeavors, including employment at the Newark Post Office beginning in the late 1970s and working on the NYS Thruway. He also took an active role in coaching local baseball teams since the 1960s and remained an influential figure in Newark Baseball for many decades. Among his interests, he found enjoyment in golfing and had a passion for collecting antique radios and watching old movies on film.

Paul will be remembered by his son, Greg (Kim) Moens; his granddaughters Madison and Emily; one brother, David Moens; mother of his son, Anna Moens.

The family would like to thank the compassionate staff of the palliative care unit at Strong Memorial Hospital for the loving care they provided Paul in his final days.
