Lake City, FL - Noreen Chase, 88, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

Born to the late Eva and Edward Sweeney in Detroit, Michigan, Noreen was raised in Takoma Park, Maryland, where she attended high school. She later earned a bachelor's degree in engineering and went on to enjoy a long career with Rochester Bell.

Noreen possessed a remarkable creative spirit and a natural talent for solving problems. Her curiosity and ingenuity were evident in everything she did-even rebuilding a player piano simply for the joy of the challenge. She found great pleasure in gardening and had a special love for flowers. Above all, Noreen will be remembered for her warm sense of humor, and the lasting joy she brought to the lives of those who knew and loved her.

Noreen will be remembered by by her daughters, Katherine Parvis, Margaret Parvis and daughter-in-law, Susan Parvis; brother, Ed Sweeney; sister, Penny Nall; and several grandchildren.

Noreen was predeceased by her husband, J. Richard Chase in 2018; son Matthew Parvis; and sisters, Patricia Green and Barbara Mudd.

Noreen's Burial will take place on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 1:00 pm, at Newark Cemetery in Newark, NY.
