Newark - Nancy V Ottnod, 71, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022 after a 20 year battle with multiple sclerosis.
   
The family will greet friends at Norman L Waterman Funeral Home, Inc. from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2022. A service will follow at 12 noon. Following the service there will be a burial at Riverview Cemetery, 2514 County Road 25, Clifton Springs, NY 14432.

Nancy was born the Daughter of the late William P. and Viola (Niles) Verbridge in Newark, NY. A lifelong resident of Newark, she graduated from Newark High School, class of 1969. Nancy attended MCC for dental hygiene and worked many years for Dr. Boyd/Dr. Hicks until her retirement due to her illness.

Nancy was an amazing woman who led a wonderful life. She enjoyed skiing, camping, hiking, and canoeing among other activities. As her MS progressed she switched her focus to jigsaw puzzles, word search, crosswords, etc. She enjoyed daily/frequent chats on the phone with her family and friends. But her favorite activity was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by her loving and devoted family including her husband of 46 years, Marvin G. Ottnod; daughters Kelly Perry and Kristin (Tim) Overend; her adored grandchildren Micah and Luke Perry, and Kayla and Logan Overend; brother James (Bev) Verbridge; Nancy will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Clifton Springs Hospital and the Demay Living Center for the care given these last several months.
