Melissa F Quance
Newark - Melissa Faye Quance, 60, passed away suddenly on Monday,
February 20, 2023, at her home.
Melissa was born the daughter of the late Raymond and Judith (Pankratz)
Quance on Thursday, November 1, 1962, in Newark, NY. She spent her life
in Newark graduating from Newark High School. She worked in the Wegman's
bakery, at Seasonall auto repair & U-Haul shop, and Parker Hannifin
factory. She enjoyed the NCIS series, studying architecture and
scientific discoveries, superhero movies, ghost hunter shows, reading
mysteries, thrillers, and many other books. Melissa enjoyed nature
photography and was a very talented photographer. She liked to sew and
crochet. She loved and cared for her cats: Bear, who passed not too long
ago; Sammy, who passed just after Melissa; and Squeaker, who now lives
with Deborah.
Melissa will be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Deborah Schmitz and
Sarah Loveless; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews;
and brothers-in-law, Thomas (Deborah) Schmitz and August (Cynthia) VandenBosche. Melissa loved her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, step-family and her extended family.
She was predeceased by her sister, Cynthia VandenBosche
The family will have a gathering to celebrate her at a date and time to
be announced.
