Mae Frances Parker-Brown
Lyons, NY: Age 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 30th, 2023, at the Pathway Home Hospice House in Seneca Falls, NY.
Mae was born to the late, Perry and Mary Dozier on February 5, 1931, in Helena, Alabama. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Willie Parker; sons, Willie, Earl, Luther and Jimmy Lee; siblings, Nettie B., Willa, Johnny B, Albert and Joe.
Mae is survived by her daughters Myrrh Ruiz (Javier), Teresa Hall (Jesse), and Dorothy Parker; sons Willie Parker (Deb), James Parker (Linda), and Sidney Parker; sisters Martha and Paulette; grandchildren Urlonda, Preston, Anthony, Muzette, Carolyn, Maya, Precious, Temeeka, Jayden, Crystal, James Jr., NaeNae, Miranda and Shaneka; several great-grandchildren, including Tamera; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other friends.
Mae married Willie Parker Sr in 1951. She worked at and retired from Xerox in Webster, NY. She was a loving woman of God and really enjoyed going to church. If Mae wasn't involved with something with the church, you could always find her with her family and friends, whom she loved to be around. Mae was passionate about crocheting, fishing, Western movies, garage sales, traveling, and shopping. She was always on the go. Mae was a loving and feisty woman and spoke her mind freely. As a Grandmother, she loved her family dearly. She always put God first and introduced her grandchildren to God. She always said, "Your situation doesn't define you" Give all your worries to the man above, and he will fix it.
Friends and family are invited to call between 10 am to 11 am Tuesday, August 15th, 2023, at Woodlane Community Church, 5694 Wood Lane, Newark, NY 14513, where a funeral service will promptly begin at 11 am. Interment will be immediately after the service in East Newark Cemetery. All are invited to attend the repast at the American Legion, 200 E Union St, Newark, NY, after the burial.
