Phelps - Lynda F. Schwab, 82, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024.

The family will welcome friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2025, at the Clifton Springs United Methodist Church, located at 1 East Main Street, Clifton Springs, NY. A celebration of Lynda's life will follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Her burial will take place at 2:30 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery, Lyons, NY.

Lynda was born the daughter of the late Clarence and Florence (Whipple) Whitmore on Wednesday, September 16, 1942, in Lyons, NY. As a child, her family moved often, and Lynda graduated from Clyde High School. She earned her LPN and enjoyed a career spanning over thirty years at the Newark Developmental Center. After retiring, she found fulfillment in volunteering her time with various organizations. Lynda loved cooking and baking, especially during Christmas and Easter, cherished spending time with her family, and had a special fondness for yellow roses.

Lynda will be remembered by her children, Melissa (Richard) Lenhart and Kathy (David) Butler; her grandchildren, Raymond (Bryanna) Morey, Elaine (Mat) Wallis, Ashley Butler, Robert (Tiffany) Schwab, Cindy Marcinkowski, Melinda (Rusty) Joslyn and Kim (Russ) Chrisman; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; her siblings, Charles Edward (Marilyn Walker) Whitmore and Eva Dillon; and her many nieces and nephews.

Lynda was predeceased by her husband, Olin in 1994; step-sons Robert Sr., and Gerald; and her siblings, Audrey, Harold. Bessie, Anita, Gerry, Gene, Vincent, Violet and Fred.
