Kaspar "Hank" Cupriks

NEWARK, NEW YORK

Hank passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, after a brief illness.

He is predeceased by his parents Maria (Goba) Cupriks and Arvid Cupriks. He is survived by his loving family; his wife, Susan; his son, Joshua (Kristin Mateo) Cupriks; daughter, Ellen (Lawrence) Smith; grandchildren Zachary Orion Cupriks and Juliana Grace Smith; cousins and good friends, especially his hiking friend John Marsh Hooper.

Hank was a great and good man who was treasured by his family and friends. His strong intelligence and unending kindness guided his life. He was a friend to the disabled and suffering and he celebrated the natural world. He loved and served his family gladly. He enjoyed gardening, birding and hiking the Northern Maine Coast. He will forever be remembered for his humility, humanity and love of justice.

Hank's memorial service will on Saturday (June 26) at 11 a.m. at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 400 S. Main St., Newark.
