Newark - Karl G. Joyce, 69, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 27, 2025.

Karl was born on Monday, August 15, 1955, in Syracuse, NY, the son of the late Norman and Beverley (Ball) Joyce. He graduated from Dryden High School with the Class of 1973 and went on to earn his bachelor's degree from SUNY Cortland in 1977 and a master's degree from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1981. Karl worked for the Finger Lakes DDSO as a Recreational Therapist before changing careers to pursue his passion for photography, which he turned into a successful business.

Karl and his wife, Stephanie, shared a love of travel, especially to their home in Hawaii, where they enjoyed swimming and scuba diving together. In his younger years, Karl treasured ski trips to Whistler Mountain with his sons.

Karl will be remembered by his wife, Stephanie Joyce; his sons Christopher (Lindsay Worner) and Chanucey (Carrie Martin); grandchildren, Lena and Jack; Stephanie's children Brian (Sarah) Tandle and Trisha (Jason Brown) Tandle; their grandchildren Maria, Jackson, Benjamin, Isreal, Tristan, Preston, and Jayden; his brother, Eric (Debby) Joyce; a sister, Candy Jones; many nieces and nephews.
