Lyons - Jonathan R Hughes, 43, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024, after a brief illness.
The family will welcome friends on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., located at 124 W. Miller Street, Newark. A private burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery.

Jonathan was born the son of Charles and Clara (Hughes) Paige on Friday, May 1, 1981, in Canadaigua, NY. Jon grew up in the Palmyra, Macedon, and Newark areas. He attended Palmyra-Macedon school district and graduated from Lyons Central School in the Class of 2000. Jon began working at the age of 14 in pizza shops in Macedon and Lyons. Over time, his career led him to Spinco, where he worked for the past ten years. He had a passion for video games and was a dedicated student of cryptocurrency. Above all, he cherished spending time and playing with his son.
Jonathan is survived by his wife of fifteen years, Lauren; his son, Ryan Hughes; his parents, Clara (Charles) Paige; his brothers, Frederick (Reva) Paige and Jay Button; his nephews, Charles William Richard Paige and George Eugene Paige; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rosemary (Douglas) Plank; his sister-in-law, Sara Plank; as well as many other beloved family members and friends.
He was predeceased by his brother, Charles William Paige; his maternal grandparents, John (Marion) Hughes; his paternal grandparents, Earl Charles (Louise) Paige; and Lauren's grandparents, David (Eleanor) Grant.
