Jessica was born the daughter of Johnnie and Jayne (Hood) DePugh on Saturday, October 04, 1980, in Oakland, CA. She graduated from Newark High School class of 1998. A short time later she attended Baptist Bible College for two years. She worked for Wayne ARC in Newark as a Direct Support Professional. Jessica had a love for music and enjoyed singing at church. She enjoyed reading and traveling and had hoped of one day traveling to Ireland to serve as a missionary. People around her felt loved, and she would lend a hand to help others where and however she could. Sadly, on October 20, 2017, Jessica was in a horrific auto accident, spending the last twelve months, ten of those months in ICU, at Strong Hospital. During that time, she kept a smile and shared the love of Christ to all that entered her room.
Jessica will be remembered by her parents, Rev. John and Jayne (Hood) DePugh; brother, Joshua (Rebekah) DePugh; sister, Julie Marie (Travis) Myles; niece, Addison; nephews, Alexander, Johnathan and Alijah; paternal grandmother, Gloria (Hubbard) DePugh; aunts, Donna (Tom) Brown, Susan (Bob) Sterle, Donna (Percy) Minter and Karen (Jon) Pierson; and many, many friends.
Jessica was predeceased by paternal grandfather, Johnnie DePugh in 1985; maternal grandparents, JV in 2008 and Elvie Lee (Taylor) Hood in 2014; aunt, Beatrice Dollahite in 2009.
