Jay Paul Wise entered into rest on Tuesday, February 16, 2026, at age 78 yrs 4 days. He was a retired dairy farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Anna S. Wise of Seneca Falls, NY; his sons, John (Eileen) Wise of Seneca Falls, NY, and Mervin (Mary Lou) Wise of Seneca Falls, NY; his daughters, Elisabeth (Paul) Auker of Colby, WI, and Barbara (Kenneth) Zimmerman of Port Byron, NY; 34 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Edwin (Ida) Wise of Lititz, PA, and Lloyd (Esther) Wise of Denver, PA; his sister, Ruth Ann Wise of Ephrata, PA; and his sisters-in-law, Mabel Wise of Waterloo, NY, and Etta Wise of Womelsdorf, PA.
He is preceded in death by brothers Marvin (Miriam) Wise, Raymond Wise and Walter Wise.
Calling hours will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Locust Grove Mennonite Church, 409 Route 414, South Clyde, NY 14433. Jay's funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026, also at the church.
