Elmira - James Donald Rogerson, 67, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025.

Please join the family at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Grove Place Cemetery, 2781 Chili Ave., Rochester, NY 14624. 

James was born on Monday, May 19, 1958, in Rochester, NY, to the late Donald and Shirley (Sutphen) Rogerson. He found joy in attending his day program and took great comfort in soothing sensory activities, listening to music, and spending time outdoors. 

James will be remembered by his sister, Darlene (Michael) Wassink, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, caregivers, and peers at Able-2. 

James was predeceased by his brother, Thomas Rogerson, and a niece, Stephanie LaPlant. 

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Able-2 and all the caregivers who provided such excellent care and compassion to James.
