Irma Leggett

Newark - Irma Leggett, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 3, 2022.

Irma was born in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late William and Mary Leggett. Irma spent most of her life in the Newark, NY, area. Irma enjoyed everyday life, sewing, baking, and helping to prepare meals. Irma loved to entertain during the holidays and was always happy to greet family and friends. She maintained a strong relationship with the church and God. Always a lady, Irma liked to dress to the nines; her hair, makeup, and clothes were always just so. Also, a lady never told her age, and neither did she. In Memory of her, her age will not be listed.

Irma is survived by her sister, Ann Marie Pearce; and many nieces and nephews; all her friends and family at the Finger Lakes DDSO.

Irma’s family would like to thank anyone and everyone who helped make her life a little easier and happier and for all the love and care she was given by staff.

Irma was predeceased by siblings Jean (Dick) Seaman, Bob (Sue) Leggett, John (Ceil) Leggett, Joseph Leggett, Peggy (Guy) Bell, Ursula (Bob) Swoboda, James Leggett and Kitty (Curt) Shaffner.

All are invited to Irma's memorial service at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at the Finger Lakes DDSO, Newark Campus, Tymeson Gym, 703 East Maple Ave., Father Michael Merritt is officiating. A small reception will follow Irma's memorial service.
