Gerald L. Schwab

Gerald L. Schwab, 80, of Dumas, TX, passed away peacefully at his home on July 28, 2024. 

Gerald (aka Jughead) was born on June 2, 1944, to the late Olin and Nellie Schwab. He grew up in Lyons, NY, and moved to Dumas, Texas, in the early 1980s. Gerald was a truck driver for 40+ years. He was a huge John Wayne fan and loved Schnauzers. He had two, Bogey Joe and Bubba, who traveled in the truck with him. 

Gerald is survived by his daughter, Christina ( Jeff ) Snider of Alabama, granddaughter Jasmine Providence of California, great-grandchildren Hunter Smith, Kayanna, Aurora, and Mavis Providence, Grandson Zachary Snider, Stepmother Lynda Schwab, sisters Kathy (David) Butler and Melissa (Richard) Lenhart, and many nieces and nephews. 

He is predeceased by his parents, Olin and Nellie Schwab, and brother, Robert Schwab Sr.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery, Lyons, NY. Following the service, a reception will be at the Clifton Springs United Methodist Church, 1 East Main St., Clifton Springs, NY.
