Georgia G DeMeyers
Newark - Georgia G DeMeyers, 84, was born in Kentucky on July 20th, 1940, and passed away peacefully on May 30th, 2025.
Georgia will forever be a woman to reminisce about; you always had a good memory to take away with you after spending time with her. She mainly lived in Newark, NY, but spent some time in Abingdon, Virginia, where her husband built her the house of her dreams. Whenever you visited her, she'd usually be sitting with her dog, DeeDee, running her credit cards up on the QVC channel or watching 90-Day Fiancé with a snack cake in hand. But if she wasn't home, you always knew she was either at bingo, getting her hair done, or shopping. She was bold, always speaking her mind, regardless of what others thought. She never had bad intentions; she would have given the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She treasured her family like no other and always looked forward to their visits. Georgia was a beautiful person who will never be forgotten by anyone who knew her.
Georgia will be remembered by her daughter, Sylvia (DeMeyers) Jandreau; son, Aaron (Andrea) DeMeyers; grandchildren, Keith (Tina) DeMeyers, Stephen (Kathy) Hamelynck, Ashley Jandreau and Kari (Scott) Mack; great-grandchildren, Alexis Szymonek, Dominic Davis, Jason Szymonek, Jaxson Jandreau-Woodward, Dakota Duclos, Jameson Duclos, Paytynn and Mary-Jane Hamelynck, Isaiah and Amelia Mack; great-great grandchildren, Dayah Szymonek and Silas Syzmonek-Lormil; brothers Robert Rose and James Rose; many nieces and nephews.
Georgia was predeceased by her parents, Sherman and Georgia (Hall) Rose; her husband, Jackson DeMeyers; her daughter, Belinda Crisler; her son, Dennis DeMeyers; her son-in-law, Peter Jandreau; her great-grandson, Otto Jandreau-Woodward; and her brother, Roy Rose.
In honor of Georgia's wishes, all services will remain private.
