Lyons - Frederick E. Witt, 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at the Wayne County Nursing Home.

In honor of Fred's wishes all service will remain private.

Fred was born the son of the late Frederick and Sara (Larkin) Witt on Tuesday, August 28, 1928, in Newark, NY. Fred grew up in the area and graduated from Newark High School. After high school, he proudly served his country with the United States Navy. Most will remember Fred from his barbershop in Palmyra, which he operated for over forty years. Fred enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family.

Fred will be remembered by his children Jim Witt and Joe (Kathy) Latona; son-in-law, Scott Hartman; grandchildren Chris and Greg Latona, Jeff, Scott and Matt Witt, and Luke Hartman.

Fred is predeceased by his wife, Sara in 2010; daughter, Cindy Hartman; grandchildren Katie Latona and Ben Hartman; sister Helen (Hurley) Mattheys.
