Newark - Francisco Santiago, 58, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, September 26, 2022, at Strong Memorial Hospital.

The family will greet friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St., Newark NY. Francisco's celebration of life will follow visitation at 3 p.m.

Francisco was born the son of Francisco Santiago and Rosa Velazquez on Sunday, November 17, 1963, in Coamo, Puerto Rico. He grew up in Puerto Rico, graduating from Ramon Jose Davila High School. Shortly after graduating high school, Francisco moved to Geneva, NY. Francisco was an excellent craftsman and mechanic; he enjoyed working with his hands. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to friends and family.

Francisco will be remembered by his long time companion, Elsa Rodriguez; children Angel Santana, Sacha Santana and Jeanette Santiago; eight grandchildren; his siblings Betty (Antonio) Reyes, Rosa Santiago, Maria (Angel Saldana) Santiago, Denisse Santiago, Miguel Santiago and Victor Santigao; several nieces and nephews.

Francisco was predeceased by his father, Francisco Santiago.
