Newark - Elba Y Negron, 87, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Newark Manor.

In honor of Elba's wishes her graveside service will remain private.

Elba entered this world on Sunday, November 15, 1936, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, as the daughter of the late Carlos and Nigelina (Bauza) Fernandez. Her devotion to her family was paramount, and she dedicated herself to nurturing her children as a stay-at-home mother. Ensuring her children's well-being and providing for their needs was her top priority. Elba held steadfast to her faith and regularly attended the Pentecostal church in Newark, underscoring the importance of spirituality in her life.

Elba will be loving remembered by her children Maria Smith, Miriam Fernandez, and Luis Fernandez; her eleven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother; several nieces and nephews.

Elba was predeceased by her three brothers and one sister.
