Newark - Edward Johnson, 100, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Clifton Springs Hospital.

Edward's memorial service will be held 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4th 2022, at the Finger Lakes DDSO Newark Campus- Tymeson Gym 703 East Maple Ave. Newark NY 14513.

Edward was born in Milford, NY, the Son of the late Edward and Anna (Wordell) Johnson, on Friday, December 23, 1921, in Milford, NY. Edward spent most of his life between Syracuse, NY, and Newark, NY. Edward was fortunate enough to celebrate his 100th birthday last December. Edward was an avid Syracuse University Basketball fan and always wore the SU colors of Blue and Orange. He was a soft-spoken gentle-natured man who enjoyed Westerns that included his favorite actor, John Wayne or Chuck Norris in Walker, Texas Ranger. Edward liked listening to Elvis and fishing in his earlier years.

Edward will be remembered by all his family and friends at the Finger Lakes DDSO.
