Clifton Springs - David M. Potter, 79, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at F.F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua.

Please join the family and friends at 11 a.m. on Monday (Dec. 21) at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 6020 Lake Ave., Auburn, NY 13021 for David's graveside service.

David was born the son of the late Meredith R. and Margaret (Bellmier) Potter on Sunday, September 28, 1941, in Auburn, NY. David loved everything, Batman. He enjoyed being out with the staff, whether it was shopping or going for a large soda with no ice. Every year he looked forward to going to the State Fair, and his first stop was always to see the State Troopers and receive a new plush toy.

David will be remembered by his nieces and nephews Brenda Laye, Dawn Allen, Michelle Barnes, Jeff Groom, Joel Groom and Kevin Taylor; several great-nieces and great-nephews; one great-great niece and nephew; brother-in-law, Wayne Taylor; his friends and family at Finger Lakes DDSO, especially the East Main House.

David was predeceased by his sisters Patrica Taylor and Barbara Waite.
