Curtis Tucker Jr., born on January 4, 1995, in Newark, left us far too soon on April 27, 2025, at the tender age of 30. Curtis was a bright light in our lives, and though his time with us was brief, he filled it with adventure, love, and an unwavering sense of self-worth.
Curtis was someone who knew the value of living life fully and on his terms. He celebrated his birthday in 2024 with a memorable trip to Cuba, embracing the culture and creating memories that those close to him will cherish forever. His travels didn't stop there; Curtis's journey through life took him across the country, from the warmth of Arizona and Florida to the vast landscapes of New Mexico, before returning to New York. Each journey was a testament to his love for exploration and desire to see the world from different perspectives.
Curtis found fulfillment in his professional life working in an assisted living setting, where his caring and compassionate nature truly shone. He firmly believed in knowing his worth and never hesitated to seek new opportunities if he felt undervalued. This self-assuredness was one of his defining traits, inspiring those around him to pursue their own happiness and fulfillment.
Curtis had a reserved nature, but his humor often surprised those fortunate enough to know him well. He had an uncanny ability to bring smiles and laughter, even in the toughest times. His caring and loving spirit was a source of comfort and strength to those close to him, especially in challenging moments.
In accordance with Curtis's wishes, there will be no formal services. As we remember him, let us hold onto the spirit of resilience and hope that he embodied. For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes. Curtis's life was a testament to rising again and again, no matter the challenges.
Curtis, you will be deeply missed, but your spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved you.
