Rochester - Charles Gonzales, 68, passed away peacefully entered on Thursday, April 17, 2025.
A graveside service for Charlie will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Riverside Cemetery, 2650 Lake Ave., Rochester, NY.
Charlie was born the son of the late Charlie and Joan (Roff) Gonzales on Wednesday, December 26, 1956, in New York City and was a survivor of the Willowbrook State School. After leaving Willowbrook and settling in Rochester, he lived a full and meaningful life.
Charlie loved simple joys-catching a movie, sharing a meal at Pizza Hut, or enjoying a coffee or soda with friends. He often spoke fondly of riding the trains in New York City with his sister.
A proud Yankees fan, Charlie also enjoyed cheering on the Rochester Red Wings. Whether in everyday moments or life's larger milestones, Charlie showed unwavering strength and resilience. He will be deeply missed.
Charles will be remembered by his sister, Joan; and his peers and staff at Finger Lakes DDSO.
