Charles L. Atkinson

Newark – Charles L. Atkinson, 79 entered eternal rest on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019 at his home.

Family and friends may attend a memorial service on Saturday (Oct. 5) at 11 a.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 400 S. Main St., Newark.

Charles was born on Thursday, September 30, 1939 in Lockport, NY to the late Charles and Bertha Mae (Bennett) Atkinson. He lived and worked in Newark, NY and Daytona Beach, FL. He was highly active in scouting and the community throughout his life. Charles was very proud of his son when he joined the U.S. Army and served our country.

Charles will be remembered by his son Charles J. Atkinson of Newark. He was predeceased by his wife Jacqueline H. Atkinson on Dec. 3, 2018.
