Linda Gail (Smith) MacIver

Sodus - Linda Gail MacIver, 64 entered eternal rest on Thursday, May 24, 2018, at her home with her family by her side.

Family and friends may attend a Memorial Service on Saturday (June 2) at 2 p.m. at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St, Newark.

Linda was born the daughter of the late Frank and Shirley (VanCuyck) Smith Sr. on Monday, January 18, 1954, in Washington, DC. She was a leader for the Girl Scouts and Brownies for many years. Linda was a true artist in her own right. She had great talent using her hands, from making crafts, woodworking and fixing things like cars and plumbing. Linda enjoyed painting objects, like old light bulbs and making Christmas ornaments from them. Linda and her husband enjoyed camping.

Linda will be remembered by her husband, Scot MacIver; sons, Frank (Samantha) Smith III and Christopher (Becky) Shutts; daughter, Amy MacIver and grandchildren; brothers, William (Bernice) Smith and Daniel (Gail) Smith; sister, Sandra (Milton) Smith; many nieces and nephews.

Linda was predeceased by her brothers, Frank Smith Jr. and Steven Smith; sister, Cindy Dodd.
