Kay was born the daughter of the late Lyle and Bertha (Drown) Brooks on Sunday, September 26, 1943, in Ellenburg, NY. She enjoyed knitting, sitting on her front porch, crocheting, and cooking. She even made the food for her son's wedding reception. Kay especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
