June Tierson Bishop
June Bishop (88), a resident of Hillside Village in DeSoto Kansas went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 18, 2018.
Survived by her children Mark (Saunya) Bishop, Kathy (Jon) Beggs, Ginny (Dayle) Phillips; sister Dorothy Tierson; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. June was pre-deceased by her husband Kenneth; parents William and Susie (Blondell) Tierson; brothers Henry, George, Art, Chester, Harold, William; sisters Mary and Sue.
June was born and raised in Newark, NY. She married Kenneth and spent many years traveling overseas (Italy, Germany) and stateside (New York, Texas, California) while Kenneth was in the United States Air Force. June was a devoted mother and loving grandmother. She was a talented artist; creating beautiful keepsakes for family and friends. She also loved to cook and later in life enjoyed cross-stitching and reading.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be sent to Hillside Village of DeSoto, 33600 W. 85th St., DeSoto, KS 66018 to the attention of Brenda Hernandez. Please mark on the check "Contribution for Hillside Village crafts and games".
