ANA MARIA LOPEZ

Newark: Ana M. Lopez, 78, passed away July 23, 2019 at Laurel House in Newark.

Ana was born December 25, 1940 in Humacao, Puerto Rico. She moved to Newark from New York City 25 years ago. She loved singing in church, reading poems, cooking, listening to music, collecting porcelain figurines, and watching El Chavo Del Ocho on television.

She is survived by her children, Mirna Rios, Modesto Lopez, Jose Carlos Reyes, Rosaura Santiago, and Josefina Fontanez; fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; aunt, Ana Rios.

She was predeceased by her two children, Jose Torres and Ramona Benitez.

Friends may call on Monday, July 29 from 5-8pm at Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, 124 W. Miller Street, Newark, NY. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 30 at 10am at the funeral home with burial in East Newark Cemetery to follow.
