"Thor"

Greece -- Thorvald T. Jensen, 89, who devoted his life to family and service to country and community, went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 13, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.

Thor loved flying, and proudly served in the Army Air Forces in World War II. In 1949, he married the love of his life, Edith Tracy. He served with pride as a volunteer with the Barnard Fire Department. He began as a sheet metal apprentice; graduated from RIT; and advanced to project engineer. He retired from 3M in 1989. His engaging personality, charm and wit will be missed. To know Thor was to love him.

Thor is remembered by his beloved wife of 68 years, Edith; sons, Richard (Marlene), Randy (Betsy); daughter, Lynda (Gary) Donovan; grandsons, Christian (Brittany), Eric, Joshua (fiancée Casey) and Michael (partner Nathan); great-granddaughter, Ella; sister, Esther VanGee; many nieces and nephews. Thor was predeceased by his parents, Thorvald and Anna, and brothers, Harold, Alfred and Jack.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St Mark's Church, 54 Kuhn Rd., Greece. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
