Thelma J. (O'Brien) Shulla

Macedon formally of Newark – Thelma Jane Shulla, 85 entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital – ICU.

     Family will greet friends on Thursday (March 16) from 4 to 7 p.m. at Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St, Newark. A Funeral Service will be Friday (March 17) at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in East Newark Cemetery.

     Thelma was born the daughter of the late Clifford and Mable (Puls) O’Brien on Monday, August 24, 1931 in Newark, NY. She graduated from Newark High School class of 1950. Thelma worked in food services for the Newark Wayne Community Hospital retiring in 1994. She enjoyed knitting, going to crafts shows and working on word search puzzles. She attended St. Michael Church in Newark and was a member of the Arcadia Senior Citizens.

     Thelma will be remembered by her daughter Pam (Leon) Goodman of Port Gibson, son-in-law Doug Propheter of Liverpool; grandchildren Bobby and Lisa Propheter both of Liverpool; sister-in-law Faye Shulla; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

     Thelma was predeceased by her husband Michael J. Shulla in 2008 and daughter Cathy Propheter in 2014.
