Sharon A. Burd

Newark – Sharon A. Burd, 75, passed away peacefully the morning of November 6, 2017 at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.

Friends may attend visitation Thursday (Nov. 9) from 11 to 12 noon followed by a Funeral Service at 12 noon at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St, Newark. Private burial will take place with her mother in the Clarence Fillmore Cemetery in Buffalo NY.

Sharon Burd made her home at 106 Cobblestone Terrace.  She had many interests and had formed many long-term strong relationships.  Sharon loved to have coffee dates with her beloved friends and it brought her much joy to flirt with guys. She loved to listen to music and enjoyed attention from her preferred support professionals as much as possible. Sharon was colorful in expressing how she felt about others and sharing her thoughts on her day. She took great pride in her appearance and loved to have her hair colored red, wearing perfume and having her nails done. Sharon was part of the women's Red Hat society and really loved to wear her hats.

Sharon will be remembered by her brother Charles Burd of Buffalo and many friends and staff of the Finger Lakes DDSO.
