Newark - Roy Vangosig, 79, entered eternal rest on Saturday, November 11, 2017.

Family will greet friends from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St, Newark on Wednesday (Nov. 15). A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in East Newark Cemetery.

Roy was born the son of the late Fred and Theresa (Gallagher) Vangosig on Sunday, April 17, 1938 in New York City, NY. He loved - M&M’s, which he sorted by color with blue being last to be eaten; coffee; jelly donuts; writing letters in his notebook; Lawrence Welk; old movies, looking at photos; rearranging the house furniture to his specifications; great sense of humor, teasing & pulling pranks on staff; a good belly laugh. He made it a point to know everything the staff was doing and their schedules.

Roy was a gentle kind loving soul who was awesome to work for. He touched so many people’s lives in a very positive manner and was loved by all. He is going to be greatly missed.

Roy will be remembered by many friends and staff, of Finger Lakes DDSO.
