Richard White Obituary

Newark - Richard Patrick White, 58 entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at the Canandaigua VA Hospital.

Family will greet friends Tuesday (April 17) from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St, Newark.  A Memorial Service will follow calling hours at 4 p.m. with military honors. A reception will follow at 5 p.m. at the Palmyra VFW, 4306 Route 31, Palmyra.

Richard was born the son of the late Richard and Josephine (Downing) White on Monday, September 28, 1959 in Boston, MA.  He was a graduate of Woburn High School class of 1977 and Northeastern Technical College earning an engineering degree. Richard worked for Tecogen, Inc. in Waltham, MA and in 1994 was sent to New York State to head Tecogen Division in NYS settling in Newark. He loved hockey and coached the Geneva High School Hockey Team. Richard was a huge fan of ALL Boston teams (Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics) with Boston Bruins being one of his favorites. He left this world when Boston won Thursday, 5 to 1 and on the hour the game ended. Richard also enjoyed playing golf.

Richard was very proud of his service for 10 years in the United States Air Force, 1980 - 1990. The funeral home flies the Air Force Flag in honor of his service to our country.

Richard will be remembered by his wife, Lynn S. (Eagle) White; sons, Shawn White, Shane (Holly) White and Derick White; grandchildren, Addison White, Weston White and Logan White; sister, JoAnn(Jim) White-Kimpel; several nieces and nephews.
