Phylis V. (Fisher) HochbrucknerAugust 26, 1939 ~ June 30, 2017 (age 77)
Lyons - Phylis Virginia Hochbruckner, 77 entered eternal rest on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center.
Family will greet friends on Thursday (July 6) from 7-9 p.m. and Friday (July 7) from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St, Newark. A Memorial Service will follow Friday's calling hours at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Riverview Cemetery

Phylis was born the daughter of the late Raymond and Madeline (Timmerman) Fisher on Saturday, August 26, 1939 in Newark, NY. She was a graduate of Newark High School class of 1956. Phylis enjoyed watching western movies, playing video games with her grandchildren and shopping. She loved her flower gardens and spending time in them. Phylis always had a special love for cats.
Phylis retired in the 1980's from the Newark Development Center where she worked in housekeeping. She was a 30-year member of the Newark American Legion Post 286 Ladies Auxiliary, life member of the Palmyra VFW Post 6778 Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Palmyra Royal Order of the Moose Lodge.
Phylis will be remembered by her daughter, Lori (Ronald) Button of Newark; son, Mark (Cindy) Guinup of Wood Hull, NY; daughter, Cindy Wren of Sodus Center; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; brothers, Raymond Fisher of Lyons and Gordon (Marsha) Fisher of Clifton Springs; two nieces and one nephew; loving cat Rosie.
Phylis was predeceased by husband, Richard Hochbruckner on Feb. 16, 2013.
