Newark – Karen F. (Johnson) Botcher, 77 entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.

     Family will greet friends on Friday (August 26) from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St, Newark. A Memorial Service will be Saturday (Aug. 27) at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Newark, 301 S. Main St, Newark.

    In memory of Mrs. Botcher, in lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the church.

     Mrs. Botcher was born the daughter of the late Maurice and Alice (Drake) Johnson on Saturday, September 3, 1938 in Clifton Springs, NY. She was a graduate of Phelps High School, class of 1956. A member of the First United Methodist Church of Newark where she was very active in missions and as a greeter to name a couple. For many years she volunteered at Meals on Wheels. Mrs. Botcher was a wonderful cook and loved to read.

     Mrs. Botcher will be remembered by her sons Jim (Michele) of Webster and Dave Botcher of Newark; twin daughters Susan (Bill) Deasy of Pittsford and Sandy Uhrich of Newark; grandchildren William (Kaitlyn), Katherine Deasy, Taylor and Rachel Uhrich, Megan, Sara, Nicholas, McKenzie; great grandsons William and Nolan; many nieces and nephews.

     Mrs. Botcher was predeceased by her husband William G. Botcher on May 21, 2010; two brothers and two sisters.
