Local Ownership vs. National Conglomerates…

What is the difference?

There are some areas of life where business chains have benefited the consumer. Examples would be the Wal-Mart and K-Mart Chains offering lower prices for goods, but there are also examples where chain ownership results in lower benefit.

A funeral is an important event that is best left to a trusted, reputable family friend. The conglomerates would have you believe because they are bigger they can serve you better. Their real goal is bigger profits, not better service.

Personal attention, a caring attitude and professionalism are the qualities of a local family business. Our community deserves better– better attention, better service, better choices and therefore better value.

For your information, the following is a list of chain owned funeral homes located in the greater Corning-Elmira area.
